Accommodation Details
- Large sitting room with wood burning stove, oak floorboards, beams, sofa and armchairs, locally made soft furnishings and pictures. For your entertainment there’s a bookcase full of books, Freeview Satellite, DVD player, Wi-Fi, telephone and board games for those cosy nights in.
- Downstairs modern bathroom with bath (shower above), WC and basin.
- Fully equipped kitchen, looking out over the River Wye with seating for 4. The kitchen includes double oven, fridge, microwave oven, washer dryer, dish washer, slow cooker, and all you need for cooking and eating.
- Bedroom with super king-size bed, Egyptian cotton bedding, Melin Tregwynt cushions and throws.
- Outdoor seating (locally made seats and table) and BBQ – the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the River Wye and the abundance of birds and wildlife.
- Two miles of private river to fish, exclusive to guests and the resident guiding service.
- Guests staying at the cottage get free fishing on a 0.5 mile section that extends upstream from the cottage. To fish the rest of the estates river length (totalling 2 miles) you can pay for an additional day ticket (£25-£35 / day).
- The resident fishing guide can be arranged by prior arrangement (Angling Escapades).
- Private parking by the cottage.
- Double glazing throughout along with oil fired boiler and wood burning stove (so its always cosy!).
- Logs for wood burner supplied free of charge (from the estate forestry).
- A welcome basket of local produce, for your first breakfast.
- Kitchen essentials including salt, pepper, tea, coffee, sugar and washing up liquid.
- Linen & towels provided.
- Veg, fruit, 100% grass fed beef and flower boxes from the estate are also available, by prior arrangement.
- Great pub just a short walk away and a cafe & farm shop down the road.
- Dogs allowed (by prior arrangement).
- Not suitable for children – due to its proximity to the River Wye.

From the minute you drive into the estate and down your private driveway to this riverside cottage you know your somewhere rather special. Relax and enjoy the River Wye and the abundance of birds and wildlife that flourish in this secluded spot. Cook al fresco with views of a waterfall on one side and the river Wye on the other….heaven! The views are extraordinary with ancient woodland, the river and the Black Mountains beyond. Whether you want just sit by the fire (on those chilly evenings), dine in style outside, or explore the estate and wider area its all here for you. Pricing
- Prices from £145 / night.
- The fishing by the cottage and for 0.5 miles upstream is included in the price (you can pay extra to get access to the additional 1.5 miles of the exclusive beat)
- Minimum three night stay. Seven night minimum in July and August.
- Three night weekend breaks, four night mid-week breaks, weekly breaks and longer available.
- Short breaks start on a Friday or Monday.
- Dogs are welcome (£25.00 per dog - max 2 dogs).

- Try one of the estates exclusive experiences such as pottery courses, foraging, wreath making, farm tours and kitchen garden workshops (by prior arrangements).
- Head into Hay on Wye, “The Book Town” and browse its shops, regular markets, castle, cafe’s and restaurants.
- Climb the nearby Hay Bluff in the Black Mountains or walk Offa’s Dyke Path, a trail of 177 miles.
- Go horse riding in the Brecon Beacons (numerous local stables) or try fishing and water sports at the nearby Llangorse lake.
- Try canoeing or paddle boarding on the Wye, or even enjoy some gorge walking.
